Carlos is an artist, pastor, thinker, experience architect, and Web 2.0 junkie. Carlos served for 10 years as the Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts at Sandals Church. In August of 2007, Carlos became the Director of Service Programming at Buckhead Church where he directly oversaw all areas hosting, production, creative, video, music, and programming at Buckhead Church. Carlos lives to ignite a movement of authenticity among all generations of Christians that morphs the face of the evangelical church into a place of being real with yourself, others, and God.

There’s a good chance you’ll find Shayla on stage performing in a musical (though she won’t tell you when or where), reading a book, or chauffeuring her kids to dance class, baseball, gymnastics, hockey, cross country, etc. Her Fishhook friends lovingly call her Shay Shay Kay or Grandma. Shayla’s belief strength motivates her to do work that makes a difference. And there is nothing more important to her than helping churches become more effective in their communications.

Stephen is a creative leader. He worked in the music business for years finding artists, developing albums, and leading marketing teams. From there he moved into church leadership, serving not just as a lead over creative, but also on the executive team of multiple mega-churches across the country.

Steve has served at Brentwood Baptist since 2008 and was previously Communications Pastor at First Baptist Church of Orlando. He’s served on the National Religious Broadcasters’ Advisory Council, and, since 1992, been a member of the Metro Media Ministers Association, serving a term as president. In 2018, MMMA named him a lifetime member. At Brentwood Baptist, Steve’s role is to develop communication strategies and to be the team leader and champion for a talented group of professionals in the fields of marketing, media, and digital strategies.

Darrel Girardier

Darrel joined the Brentwood Baptist staff in 2013 and serves as the Creative Director. He is married to Amy-Jo (who serves as the Girls Minister) and they have two children. Darrel attended college at Old Dominion University. His work focuses on leading the design, video, and web development teams. Working with the Communications Minister, Darrel ensures that the church’s creative and digital direction aligns with the church’s mission and vision.

Lindsey is a graphic designer at Brentwood Baptist Church, where she works with different ministries to visually communicate the church vision through printed and digital outlets. Her professional background includes publishing, advertising, web design, printmaking, fine art, and illustration. She is married to Wes, and they have a dog, Daisy.
